Abstract
Introduction: disseminating knowledge about the Rational Use of Medicines and assisting critical reflection on the subject in the school community are important strategies for promoting the proper use and disposal of medicines. Objective: to describe the planning and execution of the Pharmacy goes to School
2021 campaign promoted remotely in public schools in Rio Grande do Sul. Methods: The project was planned and executed by health and education workers, who created and validated content and activities on the rational use of medicines in videos, games, and podcasts, available virtually to teachers and students from the state education network, upon prior adhesion to the project. An artistic contest was held on the rational use of medicines with prizes for the best works. Results: 15 videos, two podcasts and six activities were produced for discussion and interpretation of the proposed contents organized in the Pharmacy goes to School Campaign Activity Guide. In order to promote adherence and participation, online meetings were held
with teachers to clarify the campaign and artistic contest. 532 schools joined the project and 127 students and their associate professor participated in the artistic
contest. Conclusion: The intersectorial development of the campaign allowed it to be elaborated starting from the needs of the school community, facilitating the
engagement of students and teachers, demonstrating that health is a cross-cutting theme with education.
