Abstract

Objectives: This article aims to carry out an initial analysis of the results of the diagnosis of the structure verified with the Special Medicines Pharmacies (SMP) of the municipalities that joined the Farmácia Cuidar+ Program. Methods: It is a descriptive, cross-sectional study that starts from a database analysis, with information obtained through a questionnaire sent to the SMP, in order to do a diagnosis of the structure of these pharmacies in the municipalities that joined the Program. Results: Of the 496 municipalities in the state eligible for membership, 446 joined the Program and 412 responded to the diagnosis, corresponding to 82.9% of the SMP in the state. As for accessibility with a handrail to access the site, 144 of the SMP have it, 153 do not have a handrail and 115 answered that the question does not apply. It was observed that 41.3% do not have external signage in the pharmacy. For 37.4% of the SMP, the number of chairs is not enough for the flow of service at the location. Only 21.8% of the SMP users sit down for the service. It is also noteworthy that 74.3% do not have preferential service. Conclusions: We identified elements that highlight the need for advances in aspects related to the ambience and accessibility of SMP, adapting the structure and enabling the implementation of pharmaceutical services. The results were forwarded to the state‘s Regional Health Coordinations so that they can contribute to the decision of managers for the allocation of resources for the Farmácia Cuidar+ Program.
