Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the cost minimization of the bidding processes for the acquisition of the hematology analyzer at the Central Laboratory of Salvador-Bahia: Bidding modality of Price Registration compared to Rental of machines with the supply of inputs. In order to carry out this research, data referring to the processes and documentary records of COPEL - Permanent Bidding Commission – the body responsible for the bidding processes concluded by the Municipal Health office were considered. Direct costs, indirect costs and intangible costs related to the processes were listed. The suggests that the bidding processes carried out in the Price Registration modality confer higher cost compared the rental of machines, however it is necessary to apply normative evaluation and measure the resources applied in the acquisitions to the results obtained through previously parameterized indexes in order to that, as required by this type of contract, there is a rigorous assessment in choosing the continuity of the service provided, in order to generate economic resources.
