Abstract
The purpose of this article is to assist doctors and managers in making decisions regarding the treatment of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) with anti-VEGF. The complexity of the decisions stems from the high cost of treatment, the fact that it is a disease that can progress to blindness and the difficulties brought about by treatment schemes. In this opinion article, we seek to show important practical aspects of treatment, taking into account clinical outcomes, resource utilization and patient burden, based on the best evidence.
